My latest painting to be finished. It's 20.4 x 20.4 cm, acrylic on board like the last one. Again the layer with the lettering is transparent and no I didn't harm the book. :-) I've used text from a very old book published over 100 years ago that was sitting on my parent's bookcase. It tells of how the biggest enemy of the goldfinch was the bird-catcher. So I suppose people must have kept them in cages. Thank god things have changed! Now these beautiful creatures visit our garden to feed on the thistle seed we put out for them.

ps. Is blogger driving anyone else mad today? This is about the 5th attempt at this post!!! Arggh! Off to pour myself a nice glass of wine!
